ABOUT PROJECT

The Care For Haiti Music Project brings together some of the brightest international music talents to create an album of world music, designed to pay tribute to the resilient spirit of poor women in Haiti who serve as a catalyst for change in this impoverished country. This project includes a powerful collection of songs of determination and inspiration from today's hottest artists from around the world.

This charitable album will take you on a musical journey from world music to hip hop, with inspiring lyrics and upbeat melodies that speak to our minds and souls. From the hills of Haiti to the deserts of Africa, these moving songs will remind us of a woman's true power to change things.

The Care For Haiti Music Project is sponsored by The Norbert Simmons Family Foundation and co-sponsored by CARE and Yéle Haiti, and will also include a national kick-off event and concert in 2008 to promote the album and the organizations’ missions.
